Now how cool is this? The designers know what I’m talking about. This table uniquely showcases the top 100 most popular, influential and notorious typefaces today. First on the list is Helvetica of course. Get a large version here. All designers have used at least 30 of these fonts somewhere or the other. One of my favourites, Rockwell, is up there too. Whats yours?

The site is easy to navigate and displays fonts in categories, you get fancy, techno, gothic, sans, sans-serif and more categories, so you can find the precise look and feel from there. Whats really cool about the site however, is that you can enter your own text to preview, maybe the company name if its a logo, and then search the entire gallery database viewing fonts showing your text. How cool is that! Its an essential designers resource, be sure to bookmark it.
