Here’s a list of 35 really cool open source programs, ranging from basic audio and video editors, to 2D animation and 3D design. Definitely worth a look at, latest versions included. One of my favourites are Blender, its far different from the usual 3d programs around like 3Ds Max or Maya, but extremely powerful and flexible. Tutorials for that can be found here.
